My 1st drawing of Satin Steele by DavidCMatthews My 1st drawing of Satin Steele by DavidCMatthews
I've checked the galleries at my website and here at deviantART, just to make sure I haven't posted this before. But this is the very first drawing of Satin Steele I ever drew. It came out of a sketchbook I'd taken to the 1986 ORLANDOcon, where the idea of a superheroine who was an actual bodybuilder first hit me. So we see that, although the concept (whether to be simply a very well-trained athlete, or to possess actual superpowers) and her face (eventually being inspired by Loni Anderson from that era) would change, from the very beginning her "costume" would consist of white bikini posing suit and cape.

(Her logo has also changed very little from that day.)

The look would've been perfect for 80's.

Nice find...nearly 30 years old there.  I guess things have changed that much.
